Over the last few months, we received hundreds of nominations about leaders doing work that positively impacts our communities, culture, and world. After two rounds of judging, we are honored to present the top ten finalists.
In this final round of judging, we are asking YOU to help select your favorite hero and overall winner for theGrio Heroes 2023.

A team of journalists at theGrio conducted the first round of evaluations. Seven independent judges who are leaders and industry experts selected our top 10 finalists. The last and final round voting will be conducted by you, our community, to help us identify the 2023 Grio Hero. You can view the rules & eligibility here.
The voting period is open from June 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM EST to June 30, 2023 at 11:59 PM EST.
No. You may only vote for a finalist once. If you want to increase their chances of winning, share with family and friends to cast their votes before the deadline.
The winner will be announced in July 2023.
